The Build-A-Bear Hugs Foundation is committed to making life more bearable for children, families
and pets in need of a helping paw. With the sale of each full-sized Bearemy’s Kennel Pals®
friend – a collection of Build-A-Bear Workshops® plus dogs – one dollar is donated to domestic
pet programs including local animal shelters, stray pet rescue and rehabilitation organizations,
and pet education programs around the country. These funds are available to pre-qualified
non-profit organizations in the United States and Canada through a quarterly grant process. Visit
www.buildabear.com for more information.
Rescue of Mercer strongly believes that it is a civic
duty to care for homeless, abandoned and abused animals
that populate our township, county, state, nation and
world. We do not endorse individual politicians or political
parties. Nevertheless, there are public officials whose
genuine concern for animal welfare has been translated
into actions that meet our standards of public responsibility.
Both New Jersey Senator Peter Inverso and Hamilton Township
Mayor Glen Gilmore have made significant contributions
to local animal welfare, both in deed and word, and for
their efforts we salute and thank them.
is an incomplete list. It leaves
out a vital and necessary person without whose contributions
PRM could not exist. That "person" is You. Pet Rescue of Mercer
is a grass roots organization, built on a foundation of community
compassion. PRM was created when two people shared their concern
over the plight of stray and abandonded animals at a random
meeting in an animal shelter parking lot. From that day, we
have grown one person, one phone call, one meeting, one dollar
at a time.
You are the one who builds shelters in the woods
for stray cats each winter. You are the mother and son who adopted the old dog at
Pet Smart. You are the couple who donates dog food to
our foster parents. You are the woman who buys our merchanidise on ebay, just because its for a good cause. You are the woman who takes in FIV and leukemia positive
cats. You are the woman who nurses abandoned newborn kittens.
We know You, whoever and where ever You are. And we thank You.
